Daniel L. Butler, Pastor
Dr. Daniel L. Butler is the Senior Pastor of International Pentecostal Church, a long standing church in South-East Los Angeles County with a growing reach. He has been blessed to have Pastored in a Church that breaks down the barriers of ethnicity in Christianity, with over 40 nationalities and many different groups that attend regularly and have served by his side for many years. For all the years he's been able to preach and teach God's word in depth, he still rejoices over the very simple and easy to understand message of the Scriptures, that it is Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith.
Dr. Butler graduated from Purdue University’s PreMed program with a Bachelors of Science degree, major in Biology. He then earned a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Vanguard University, a Masters of Divinity degree and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Benjamin University also conferred upon him the Doctor of Divinity degree in consideration of both his academic achievements and a lifetime of ministry. Ordained in 1981, Daniel has founded parocharial schools, provided leadership for decades in denominational district, national, and international leadership positions, and most importantly served as senior pastor of local churches, both in Birmingham, Alabama previously and in Bellflower, California presently.
Daniel presently serves as overseer of churches in both Los Angeles and Orange County areas. He also serves as adjunct professor at the Urshan Graduate School of Theology in Florissant, Missouri. Most fulfilling and closest to his heart is the International Pentecostal Church in Bellflower, CA where Daniel has served as pastor for 26 years.
God blessed Daniel with his lifetime soul mate Pamela in 1979, and would later bless them with their only son Joshua Dane in 1983. Today, Daniel and his family labor together amid the masses of Los Angeles and disciple souls for Jesus, making disciples of Jesus of every age, ethnicity, background, social strata, and economic status.
